ABOUT US

The Children and Youth Development Organization (CYDO) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profitable and non-religious organization, which aims at changing in the lives of children in Cambodia. CYDO was established in the late 2010 by a group of students from universities with Mr. Va Mora and officially registered with the Ministry of Education on July 06, 2011. Our goal is to provide primary education and foreign languages to children and adolescents who lack in access to education. We seek assistance from local and international charities. CYDO encourages social change to tackle the structural causes of poverty, inequality and social exclusion. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we help children, and families to help themselves.

Cambodia is a developing country in Southeast Asia, where we have immediate needs of financial support and human resources.

Cambodia continues to struggle to reconstruct from long periods of war and complete eradication of the educated preceeding generation.  Nearly half of all Cambodian children are malnourished and one in eight dies before their 5th birthday due to preventable causes.

Our primary focus is providing a safe environment for children as they learn. We aim to change lives by promoting health and hygience, offer Khmer and English lessons, encourage peace and teamwork towards a better society.
