Rachna International School (RIS)

RIS is a semi-private school for underprivileged children and youth in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

History

In 2009, Mr. Va Mora founded Bestway International School. In 2014, he changed its name to Rachna International School.

Philosophy

Our goal is to provide quality education, humanitarian virtues and leadership development.
We believe that the most important point of education is the relationship between school and parents or guardians. At the end of each semester, we send their parents a report in which figures the results of the student and his/her variations in participation and efforts.

Schooling

Our school offers English and Khmer classes to underprivileged children. We cover English education from kindergarten to high school levels. We expect students to gain writing, reading, speaking and listening skills. We have a morning class from 7:30 – 10:30, an afternoon class from 1:30 – 4:30, and an evening class from 5:30 to 6:30 each weekday.

Staffs

We currently have nine teachers, three receptionists and one administrator.

Volunteers

Since summer 2015, we have been welcoming volunteers from all over the world to provide quality education. We believe that these volunteers can impact on English education in RIS and broaden students’ mind by sharing worldwide cultures.

Location

RIS is located in a poor suburb area in Phnom Penh. We have two buildings, that can be reached in walk from one to the other.

School Life

We support students not only for education but also for their life. We take care of all of them from early morning to late evening depending on family situation. We do love and play with them.
