Bestway International School:

Bestway International School (BIS) was founded in 2009 under the initiative of Mr. Va Mora and with some university students. BlS has been operating for two years from 2009 to 2010. BIS has been registered in the Department of Education, Youth and Sports. Therefore, we changed its name to the Children and Youth Development Organization (CYDO) from BIS. CYDO has been registered at the Ministry letter No. 001 on 06 July 2011.

 

2 years for processing the Bestway International School:

In 2009 the first year, school process with (kindergarten class and part time class) has total students only 60 students and process with three rooms in the morning, 2 rooms in the afternoon, and 3 rooms in the evening classes. And Mr. Va Mora spans own money for rent house, buy: table, fan, chair, whiteboard, office supplies, computer, and other materials that use in school. In that year Mr. Va Mora not control by directly because need money to support so he worked outside and try to manage indirectly. But school no progress has well because it depends on management and delivery of the monthly wages for workers and teachers. But the school is still trying to resolve it continuously and school support budget to let the process continue.

In 2010 & 2011 the second year, school has increase students from 60 students to 100 students depending trust from parents, but is not good for process: in the summer, school was difficult to teach students due to low roof and old, narrow room, lacked table, and fan. And in the rainy season is also difficult to teach students because of rain every day (sometimes continuous rain in the morning 3 hours and 1 hour in the afternoon and rain in the evening from 2 to 3 hours.) When rain again all the area is flooded and difficult for students to learn, because the area has the lowest. People living in this area there are several small houses and small sewage drainage system is very difficult to live. The most important one is the roof sinking and under school system damage so full of water and can’t teach students (Note, in the rainy season, from June up to September or October, depending on weather). Overall, it is difficult summer and fall rains, but these difficulties teach us to be strong and able to handle up and continue forward.

Children and Youth Development Organization:

Children and Youth Development Organization (CYDO) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profitable and non-religious organization, creating lasting change in the lives of children in Cambodia. CYDO was established in late 2010 by a group of students from universities with Mr. Va Mora and officially registered with the Ministry of Interior on July 06, 2011. In order to provide preschool education and training Foreign Khmer and computers to children and young people seeking assistance from local and international charities to help children and youth who lack access to education. CYDO encourages social change to tackle the structural causes of poverty, inequality and social exclusion. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we help children and families help themselves. (from 2011 - 2013)
